Klapday lets a small closed group of friends film two-second clips of their day and turns them into one shared film. This page explains which data we handle, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

Klapday is published by Eric Leroy, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as Z-AX Agency, 18 B rue Bricka, 06160 Antibes, France, SIREN 504 527 763, who is the data controller. Contact: contact@klapday.com.

Data we handle

We do not collect your contacts, your location, or an advertising identifier. Klapday shows no advertising.

Why we use it

Checks before publication

Every clip, profile picture and shared film is checked automatically before anyone else can see it. Our server extracts a few still images from the video and sends them, without your name or account details, to OpenAI (United States), which returns a safety assessment. Short texts such as first names, group names and captions are checked the same way. Content that fails the check is not published; you can ask for a human review. Sound is not analysed.

Who receives your data

We do not sell your data and we do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.

How long we keep it

Security

Data travels between your phone and our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Groups are closed: there is no public feed and no way to search for people.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and obtain a copy of it. You can delete your account in the app at any time (see Delete my account). To exercise a right, write to contact@klapday.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Minimum age

Klapday is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly keep data about anyone younger; an account created with a date of birth under 16 is refused and nothing is stored.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
