Child safety standards
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Klapday has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to every user and to every piece of content on Klapday.
What is forbidden
- Any content that depicts, promotes or facilitates the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.
- Any sexualised depiction of a minor, including drawings and generated images.
- Grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to obtain sexual content from a minor or to meet a minor for sexual purposes.
- Any content that puts a child in danger.
Who can use Klapday
Klapday is for people aged 16 and over. Date of birth is requested at sign-up and younger users are refused. That date is declared by the user: it is not, by itself, an independent verification of age, which is why the safeguards below apply to everyone. Groups are closed and joined by invitation only; there is no public feed, no search for people and no suggestion of strangers.
How we prevent and detect
- Every clip, profile picture and shared film is checked by automated moderation before it becomes visible to anyone else. If the check cannot be completed, the content is not published.
- Names, captions, group descriptions and written replies are checked the same way, before publication.
- Every user can report a clip, a film or a person from inside the app, and block a person. A web form is available on every shared film page.
- Reports about child safety are handled first.
What we do when we find it
- The content is removed immediately and never shown again.
- The account is suspended.
- The material and the related information are preserved as the law requires and reported to the competent authorities: the national authority of the country concerned (in France, the PHAROS platform) and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through legal channels.
Compliance
Klapday complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations.
